ISE EXHIBIT #A β’ DESK SLEEP PROTOCOL
Captured in the wild during a 300-level STEM lecture. Max demonstrates the coveted "Folded Arm Cushion" technique, allowing micro-REM dreaming while maintaining auditory awareness of potential pop quizzes.
As an ISE major, Max rejects the mainstream commercial engineering establishment. He does not use expensive CAD software or venture-backed incubators. Instead, he designs underground prototypes powered by cheap capacitors, free dining hall straws, and pure intellectual grit.
When Louis discovers a new way to beat the UNC meal plan, Max is the engineer who models the fluid dynamics of the soda fountain dispenser. When Max needs an orthotic wedge to prevent wrist strain during marathon soldering runs, Louis prescribes custom podiatric support.

Monitoring brainwave frequencies during classroom sleep vs. indie engineering ideation.
Selected projects designed by Max in collaboration with Louis Small.
A concealed gravity siphon running from Lenoir Hall directly into Louis's backpack, providing constant zero-cost root beer without triggering dining hall door alarms.
Field-tested in max.png. Specially engineered wire binding that leaves zero spiral marks on cheek flesh while dampening lecture acoustical frequencies.
Allows Louis to submit 5-letter guesses under the desk using foot metatarsal pressure sensors, keeping his hands free to hold the brioche chicken sandwich.
